How you can help PSALV
Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis causes pain and misery for over a hundred thousand people in Scotland, here at PSALV we are trying to help ease the suffering of these people by raising awareness of this condition to the general public (as many sufferers experience abuse and fears, from others that the condition can be contagious) and by lobbying parliament to have the NHS offer better treatment to sufferers of these conditions.

Donate money
Although we receive a small grant from the Scottish Government to cover basic admin costs and from member’s subscription, this is not enough to cover our expenses. It can cost thousands of pounds just to place an advertisement in nursing or general practitioner journal.
All the money donated will go towards helping us carry out our aims, we have no paid staff, we are all volunteers.

Donate Time
You could always donate some of your time to helping PSALV, we can always use some help with admin work, even a couple of hours a week would be a great help.
This is especially when we are hosting events as we sometimes need to pay agencies to carry out minor admin work, such as putting together information packs, If you could help with this it would allow us to free up some funds to concentrate on our main aims of raising awareness of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
Even something as simple as putting up posters or dropping off leaflets at your local doctor’s surgery, dermatology unit, libraries, chemist, supermarket, shop or community centre would be a great help.
If you feel that you have something to offer then please get in touch, we will gladly welcome any help you can give us.

You could always place a donation tin in your workplace or ask at your local pub/post office or shop if they would host one of our tins. Although you may think that this will not raise much money for us, the more tins that are out there the more we can do. Remember that every penny raised will help us to raise awareness of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and ease the suffering of those affected by these conditions.
