PSALV has been actively campaigning for charges to be removed for people with psoriasis and PsA, we were involved in a govt. market research project last year, re this topic, we have held many events in parliament, and met with the health ministers. Questions were asked in parliament after our working dinner, and we continue to pursue this.

PSALV RECEIVES 3 YEAR CORE FUNDING, AS THE ONLY SCOTTISH PSORIASIS CHARITY. we have received a small core fund to cover our telephone etc., from the Government, but we need much more, and more members-remember we are disabled volunteers!
PSALV has been informed by THE MEDICAL DIRECTOR, LEO Pharma, that Dovonex ointment is discontinued in the UK as from April. the CREAM and other products are unaffected. There are no health or safety isues. Dovobet is unaffected.
ON 22ND NOVEMBER, 2006 PSALV HELD A BRIEFING, AND WORKING DINNER IN PARLIAMENT.

PROFESSOR IAIN MCINNES, Professor of experimental medicine and rheumatology, GLASGOW UNIVERSITY AND ROYAL INFIRMARY DOCTOR DAVID BURDEN, Consultant Dermatologist and researcher, WESTERN INFIRMARY, GLASGOW.
followed by Working dinner, sponsored by Richard Baker, MSP, IN THE MEMBERS DINING ROOM, HOLYROOD. we had 16 MSPS from all parties, patients, clinicians, nurses, policy makers attending, and had a productive outcome from raising our key issues, which will benefit all in Scotland with psoriasis and PsA.

PSALV once again had a 2 day display on psoriasis and Psa set up in parliaments garden lobby, we met and spoke to many MSPs and people passing through and visiting on 27th and 28th September, we wish to thank our patron Margaret Mitchell, MSP for sponsoring us once again.
We also had an outdoor event in central Glasgow on wpday, 29/10, this seminar was open to the public, at Strathclyde University in the middle of Glasgow. we had two top docs,both experts.
